13 April 2002 – About 100 members of the 4th MEB (Anti-Terrorism) returned to Camp Lejeune after helping re-open the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. The four-month deployment combined guard duty with construction work. The embassy had not been occupied since 1989 and the building had fallen into a state of disrepair. 15 April 2002

Vandalism to Monuments at Veterans Bicentennial Park in Fall River

Vandals struck again this time it’s really bad as you can see from the picture We found another monument at Bicentennial Park that has also been vandalized besides the Iwo Jima. I know a lot of you are very upset like I am and I volunteered to go down there and clean the monument. But
